The Disciples of Christ were founded in the early 1800's in the United States. The founders envisioned a united church of Jesus Christ modeled on the New Testament. We structure our community around the Biblical idea of covenant, emphasizing obedience not to human authorities, but accountability to one another because of our shared belief in Jesus Christ.
The Chalice symbolizes the central place of communion in our worship. The Cross is a reminder of the ministry of each person and the importance of evangelism.
We affirm:
This congregation was founded in December 1983, when people from the TriCities came together to form a church based on Love, Acceptance and Forgiveness. We are a different type of church - one where people can be themselves and grow into what God wants them to be. Please come visit with us and share in the love and fellowship that is Airport Christian Church!
